1. In the app (fastest)
- Open Verse Caller.
- Go to More → Settings → Privacy & data.
- Tap Delete everything, type DELETE, then tap Delete everything again.
Erased straight away, from your phone: everything Verse Caller stored there. That is your prayers and saved verses; your people’s verses, themes and hymns; the verses from your calls, your plans and your streak; your reminders, the numbers you block and the app’s record of your calls; the Bibles, themes and hymns you downloaded; and your settings. The app then starts fresh.
App usage data (if you allowed it) is linked only to a random app ID, and deleting the app’s data replaces that ID. What was already sent can’t be linked back to you, and Google deletes it automatically within 14 months.
2. Uninstall the app
When you uninstall Verse Caller, Android deletes everything the app stored on your phone.
- Cancel any subscription first, in Google Play: uninstalling doesn’t cancel it. See how to cancel.
- Uninstalling can’t reach data our partners already have. It is deleted automatically on the schedule in section 5, or sooner if you email us.
3. By email
Write to privacy@versedove.com with the subject “Delete my data”. Tell us that you use Verse Caller and, if you bought something, your Google Play order number. It starts with GPA. and is in your Google Play receipt email, or in the Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
Without an order number, the data our partners hold can’t be linked to you: it isn’t tied to your name, email address or phone number, and it is deleted automatically on the schedule below.
We reply within one month and confirm when the deletion is done.
4. What stays where it is
- Your purchases. They belong to your Google account, so Premium comes back with Restore purchases if you set up the app again. To delete our purchase record at RevenueCat, email us; Google Play keeps its own order records under Google’s privacy policy.
- Android’s own backup. If your phone backs up to your Google account, the copy there (your prayers, saved verses, plans, the people you chose with their verse, theme and hymn, the numbers you block and your settings) stays until Android’s next backup replaces it. You can also delete it in your Google account’s backup settings.
- What you set in Android itself. A wallpaper or ringtone you set with the app, the app that handles your calls, Android’s call log and your contacts stay as they are. Change them in your phone’s settings.
- Verses and themes you shared. The messages stay in the chats where you sent them. Their links never contain names, phone numbers or prayers.
- A short record of your request. We keep a note that we handled it (the date and what was deleted), not the data itself.
5. How long each partner takes
| Data | When you ask us to delete it | If you don’t ask |
|---|---|---|
| Everything on your phone | Immediately, with Delete everything or by uninstalling | Stays until you delete it |
| App usage data (Google Analytics for Firebase) | Linked only to a random app ID we can’t look up, so it can’t be found from your request | Deleted automatically within 14 months |
| Android’s own backup (your Google account) | Android’s next backup replaces it; you can also delete it in your Google account | Until a newer backup replaces it |
| Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) | Deleted automatically within 90 days | 90 days |
| The app’s settings check (Firebase Remote Config) | Linked only to a random installation ID we can’t look up, so it can’t be found from your request | Kept until the ID is deleted, then removed within 180 days |
| Purchase records (RevenueCat) | Within 30 days of your email | Kept while you have purchases, then as long as tax and consumer law require |
| Ad data (Google AdMob, for people who see ads) | We can’t access or delete it. Use Google’s privacy policy to contact Google | Under Google’s own policy |
| Emails with us | Within 30 days | Up to 2 years after our last message |
Our partners are listed, with links to their policies, in section 6 of the privacy policy. The privacy policy explains all the data in detail.
